　
オバマ米新大統領へ「核兵器廃絶/要請書」送付

January 20, 2009 Dear Mr.President Barack Obama of the United States of America, 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　REQUEST We, Kyoto Association for a Non-nuclear Japanese Government, have great expectations of you, the first American President that aims at the world without nuclear weapons. We hope you will show us your response to our five ardent requests as follows. 1. Please make known to the whole world anew your determination to eliminate all nuclear weapons on earth, and do your best at the 2010 NPT REVIEW CONFERENCE to reach a consensus by nuclear nations on the concrete process of all-out abolition of nuclear weapons. 2. The International Court of Justice emphasized in its Advisory Opinion on the “Legality of the Threat or Use of Nuclear Weapons” that “there exists an obligation to pursue in good faith and bring to a conclusion negotiations leading to nuclear disarmament in all its aspects under strict and effective international control”. We sincerely hope you as President of the United States of America will fulfill faithfully and swiftly the obligation mentioned here. .3. Please promise clearly that you will make an end to use of force which is going on, and never resort to use of force in the future, as far as it is an infringement of Charter of the United Nations. 4.
